Default If I run rich too long will it affect spark plugs?

I am currently running a little rich, and after I install my headers I will be running even richer. I am not going to get it dyno tuned for a couple weeks, and when I do I am driving about 100 miles to the shop. Will running rich so long affect my sparkplugs? Or will I just be wasting alot of gas, and losing a little bit of power?

It will have a definite affect on your plug... They may get soaked and not fire properly. You may also get alot of carbon fouling.. this will cause you throw an SES for misfiring..

How to read spark plugs

Okay, so would it be better to change my plugs before I drive the hour to get it dyno tuned. Or would it be better to change them after I get it tuned (not sure if the bad plugs will effect the dynotuning).

Just install a new set before you do the dynotune..

So it wont be too bad on the plugs, if I drive about 120 miles w/ the new plugs running really rich.

ok, last question I am going on vacation for 2 weeks and was planning on doing the plug swap before and getting it tuned the day after I get back. Thats when im sending my tb to be ported, and it wont be running. Is it ok to let the good plugs sit there for 2 weeks with my car in a very rich condition? (not sure if anything will happen to them if the car isnt running)

Thanks
