First time in the forum
I finally got the LS1 in may of this year. Ive wanted the car since I was 15 and I am now the proud owner of one of the meanest cars on the road.
I just wanted to share my experiences since Ive had the car. Nobody in my town of 20,000 people will truly race. I have hundreds of cars pull up and rev their little toys at me, but when it comes down to it they all back down. Ive had two people actually run em and they both got smoked. One was a '00 ford ranger. I dont know what this guy was thinkin, but he thought his truck was quick . I gave him three car lengths and still blew by him in second gear.
The other guy was a 1970 skylark. He said that it had a bigblock, but I could blow by him let him get close and do it again. After I truly embarassed him, he turned off and told one of my buddies that I cheated. I guess he needed more of a head start.
This is so much better since my last car was a '93 camaro with a 6 and an auto. Anyways, this site is great and Im glad to be a part of anything to do with LS1s
