382 Stroker

382 Stroker
how much labor would it cost for a company like mti to build me a 382 stroker from just parts...i.e. i supplied an ls6 block, heads, cam....so pretty much they would be completely building me an engine...also what kinda power would i be making if i had the lunati kit with 8.5 compression (future supercharger in a year or so.) and a fairly large blower cam with mti stage 2r heads....also 1/4 mile times would be nice...

383 is a stroker, 382 is an all bore......
if you bought the lunati kit, its gonna cost you bank just for the kit. then you're gonna have to get all that **** to mti. thats IF mti agrees to build your motor. they may, but will probably not warranty the motor as they did not supply the parts(ie do not know their origins, can't verify quality).
if you really would like to know, call mti or thunder racing or tsp. ttp builds 'em too. ask the shops themselves.
btw....get more specific then 'big blower cam' if you want some sort of power estimates.

im just trying to find the best way to get a 383 or whatever that will hold up with an f-1r blower running as much psi as i can on 93 octane....im trying to find the best way to go about it...more help would be nice...i don't even know what kinda cam to go with...i haven't really understood why a certain cam is good for fi except that you want more intake than exhaus....or the other way around...i dunno....this is future dreaming really anyhow...i don't have the funds for it....and im going to go n/a with stock cubes and bottom end until i get tired of it and need more power

If you supplied all the parts, it would be $500 to build the bottom end and $500 to build the top end.. So $1000 builds the entire longblock, crank to intake.
If you are looking at purchasing parts from us also, we can do even better. Let me know, PM me if you'd like to discuss.
