Default stupid EGR mod

well...stupid plastic tube i bought from Autozone. the "universal" platic tube was glued together so it burst and sent new coolant and 3 bottles of $7 WaterWetter into my engine bay.

should have bought that $12 kit from whatever that place that's a sponsor on here. BMR or something.

What are you talking about? What does the EGR have to do with the coolant?

Or are you talking about doing the TB by-pass? In which case you should get the aluminium hose splicer from Autozone (same as what BMR uses), it's behind the counter and cost about $3.

I looked all over locally to find an aluminum or stainless reducer but couldn't find one. I ended up ordering a couple of stainless 3/8" to 1/4" barbed reducers from http://www.homebrewmart.com of all places. Some guys don't bother with this and just use the wrong size hoses to finish the job.

We just used the 3/8 splicer. You have to have someone there (Autozone) who half has a clue. One guy tried to sell me some brass fitting or something and I just said I'll wait til my buddy (works for AZ) gets finished with his customer and get the right part. Like I said they keep them behind the counter. Its exactly the same was what BMR uses, a little vasiline allows it to slip on no problem. We joked about making our own kit and selling it for like 10 bucks shiped to under cut BMR, lol.

I didn't know about the stainless reducer, that's good info. I might try it if I ever have to do this again.

Don't need a kit. I bought brass adaptors from the hardwear store and 1ft of fuel hose from autozone.
