Found a Nipple!.. on my engine
I Just got my car back on friday from having major warranty work done (engine was replaced) and i noticed this hose line that wasnt connected??
Did they simply forget to connect this line? or is it not needed? i have a 2001 trans am. ive only put 200 miles on this new engine.. hope it hasnt hurt anything.

Thats a PCV pickup. From the picture it looks like your engine is still getting PCV from the valve covers, which is fine. No that line being disconnected didn't hurt anything. But the LS6 PCV cover has better baffling in it, so you'll get less oil in your intake.
I wonder if you gor a whole LS6 motor???

hmmms... after looking at those two pictures. and re-reading what Gimp98TNT said. I think it will be fine. Just odd, Kind of wish they would have capped it off with something a bit more permanent. Thank you for the replies

That's an LS6 PCV valley Kit. It pulls PCV from the valley versus off the valve cover. You can block off the PCV from the valve covers and add a PCV valve to that nipple and route the hose to the intake manifold, and you will have the LS6 PCV system. I would check to see if they replaced anything else with LS6 parts. You might have gotten lucky.
