Default Temprature Question?

Hello, I was wondering what temp does your F Body run at? On my thermostat it says "210". I was wondering if it's running hot or is that what it's supposed to run? I did a search on this but couldn't find any information so I thought I'd post. Thx.

what year are you...i beolieve 98 was the only year to have an ACTUAL WORKING temp gauge...the 99-02 jsut tell you cold...operating and overheating...basically...the stock T-stat is a 195° T-stat...itll operate between that and my ghuess is 215-225 mayb 230 or so till till start to reall overheat

I have a 98 and Mine never runs over 180 or 185 unless it sits at a stop light or at a drive-thru for a long period of time then it can get to around 200 or so, but that kinda pushin it. Is this normal? I havent owned the car its entire life, maybe the previous owner put a performance thermostat on it. I dont know, but I am guessing this is normal for most of our cars!

So my car shouldn't be running at 210? It's a 99 TA.

just about everyones says 210 when the engine fully eats up the computer turns the cooling fan on when the temp reaches 215....so itll show aroudn 210 on your gauges alsmot everyones with a stock T-stat if not EVERYBODYS will say 210

My stock temp guage stays at 210 no matter what the car is doing..

I installed an Autometer Temp guage.. temps range anywhere from 180-215 depending on what I'm doing..

Normal is around 190-195.. on the Autometer guage..

my 02 runs a hare under the 210 mark, sometimes even with it. only seen it go over it once, on startup, right after a bunch of heavy "playing".
