forgot to put pcv vavle back on; did i hurt anything?

forgot to put pcv vavle back on; did i hurt anything? I took out my old pcv valve and went in the house to get the new one and could remember what i did with it, then my girlfriend come in and started talking about something and i totally forgot what i was doing. I drove it to work this morning w/o one for about 10 miles and everything was ok but on the way home it started missing bad at idle and wanting to die. I lifted my hood and im like omg i forgot to put the new one back on. I know stuped. but did i hurt anything???

haha, yeah i heard that. I still cant find the new one but i put the old one back and everything is running ok. I didnt think it would hurt anything unless of i sucked something up into the hose but i wanted to be 100% sure. Thanks
