Default will car pass inspection in TX w/ ory?

I was told that if i got an off road y-pipe, my car would not pass inspection in houston. Is this true?

haha, i used to live in houston...they are tightwads about their air, it was a miracle i moved back to west texas

same here in waco... they don;t do emmissions testing here

Emmissions, what's that? Is that when they write down your mileage, slap a sticker on and say I'm good to go?

If they do OBDII testing and your O2 codes are erased, then it shouldn't be a problem. I think its just DFW and Houston that do OBDII, the rest of the state is visual.

Mine passed for the normal price, $35 bucks or whatever it is. ORY, no EGR, no air pump. All they did was honk the horn, , turn on the lights, check the gas cap, and plug in the computer.

As long as you don't have a chack engine light, the car will pass everything BUT the visual inspection.

I actually had a certain place give me the sticker and tell me to put it on myself...they don't give a damn!!!! Lucky Us!!!!

What happens if someone really checks and you don't pass? Do they just tell you to go somewhere else?

you get 7 days or some **** to get whatever problem fixed and then come back and get your sticker...but regardless if you pass or not you have to pay so thats what sucks

i wish i knew where there was some leanient inspectors around dfw, i need to get mine inspected and i dont want to strip my tint
