uhh last time i checked you had to hit the button that says "TC S" it should be located right underneath the AC control pannel.
press it once to turn it off, and a light should come on in the instrument cluster thats says "TCS OFF"

hmmmmm.....

do you see any button that says "TCS"?

cuz if you don't you might not have traction control.

If you have a "cell phone holder" you don't have the TCS. That is where the button would be in the birds.

tcs is on pontiacs and asr is on chevrolets...consider it a good thing that you don't have it...the tcs takes the place of your cell phone holder (not sure if that is its intended purpose but it works great)...yeah i was about to get upset when i read this cause it is completly obvious how to turn it off but seeing that you don't have it i can understand your confusion

if you have a light that comes on, on the dash when you spin the tires that says LOW TRAC then you have traction control. If not then you dont. I think there should be a code for it on your door. Otherwise you could prolly call a GM dealer and give them your vin and they could tell you.

BUT in all honesty, I dont see how you could have traction control with out having a button for it. I have a camaro, and I have an ASR button

Goodluck

The LOW TRAC light comes on whether you have traction control or not...it's a function of the ABS system.
Chevrolet = ASR located beneath the center dash vents
Pnotiac =TCS located next to the cig lighter
No button = No traction control...only ABS, which is standard on the Z-28 and SS.

You sure about that? When my TCS is off I won't get the LOW TRAC light when I sping the tires or bang second.

What I meant was, on cars not equipped with traction control, the LOW TRAC light will come on when doing a burnout, etc. You are correct, though, on cars with traction control...when TCS is disengaged the LOW TRAC will not come on.

Push the button that says "ASR" above your heat/Ac controls. Dash will show a TCS off light by your tac.

With all the HP and TQ on hand, somedays its a good thing to have TCS. I've had enough times I get low trac even when just pulling out really easy.
