Default Board question

Is it possible to use flash (.swf) sigs & avatars? If not would the boards admin's or mods consider turning that option on please?

I dont know if its possible, but I wouldn't want it. It would just be a waste of bandwidth and processor time.

Sorry, but thats my view on it.

I just asked cause I can do neat things with flash. I was thinking of making a sig or avatar that would make the sound of the engine reving up if your mouse passed over it & some other things I thought of. But yeah I understand what your saying if the files were huge in size or alot larger than peoples current sigs it would make the pages load slower. I try to keep the flash files I make under 70kb or less if possible.

Its not just the size but also the processor time used in rendering. I have a 2.8Ghz system, but its still a drain (well, a slowdown in load anyway) to load a ton of small flash animations.

nope, and nope. We do not even want animated signatures. Avatars are fine however.
