I have only gotten my car just a little over 130 but I know it was in 4th.
I do have a site that calculates with gear and tire size for your ride.
It shows 142 mph at 6000 rpm in 3rd gear with 3.23 gear and 275/40 17 tires.

I hit my rev limited beating a mach one day going about 150. I had it in overdrive not thinking about it and we both thought i broke something. Actually i just htink the speedo was about 8 mph off. 150 is up there for 3rd urs may be off too.

This was done at TEA while tuning the car, it's set to shift at 6500-6600, but for the tuning runs it was left in 3rd and taken to red line (6800) on each run. I don't see the big deal, it wasn't like it was for more than a few seconds or so. Took it up to 6800 then let off and let it slow back down. The factory tach didn't read 6800, but the TECH II did. The speedo is dead on also, and it read 150. I have it on video and would post it if I knew how. As far as the 140 street run, the car was in D (OD) but it was still in 3rd when I let out at 140, again, I don't do this all the time.
