Default What is 1LE??

What is 1LE is this an option for f-bods. I did a search in handling & braking. And I though a post here would get more view as well as replies.

1LE is an GM option code. The 1LE option for LS1's installed from the factory is rare. Beside the obvious like no power options or A4, check the option code sticker located on inside driver door. It should be there.

well mine has power options so its out

and according to that website above, they do offer a 1le tranny mount!! i read about it somewhere and asked about it at the dealer when i was buying one but they shrugged it off. i still have the package from the one i bought and the part number is different than the 1le mount.

It doesn't need to be an automatic to be a 1LE. Just because it doesn't have any power options doesn't mean it's a 1LE either. My friend has a totally stripper 93 Z with cloth and a hardtop. It's not a 1LE either.

You've got to look at your RPO codes on the door for the code.

There's also a 1LE code from SLP (for the FIrehawk's and SS's). I don't know what year SLP started using the code, but our 02 Firehawk has it. I forget everything it included, but I know the major compenent was Koni adjustable shocks.

The SLP 1LE package is just the suspension. It's quite the upgrade over the GM suspension though. A true 1LE is pretty much a stripper car though and will have the 1LE RPO.

I meant there were no A4 1LE's for the LS1. I can't speak for the LT1 1LE's, but fairly certain for the LS1 there was a specific option group that removed the power options and gave you a "credit" toward the invoice.
