Baseline dyno complete
did baseline dyno today on my ws6. All stock dynoed 303 hp. Then had my kooks LTs and BMR sfc's installed. Getting the true dual installed either tommorow or friday. On monday i will install a lid, and then i will have ls1 edit done, and then have it dynoed again. What are the predictions? I am hoping for 330-340. Am i being to optimistic?

Nice numbers for a 99. I would think you'll be close to what you're shooting for. If you're doing a lid IMO get a smooth bellow too and bypass the TB coolant right away while you're there.

funny you should ask what i plan to do next. First thing is to get a spare set of rims (like 15 x 10's) and put some mickey thomsons on them. Then I plan on doing some suspension work, control arms, tunnel brace, shocktower brace, torque arms, and maybe some k-members. Then a 12-bolt rearend, not sure on the gears, but probably geared for highway racing. Then i think i will probably build the bottom end and do a d1 procharger witha head/cam package. Probably some things i left out, like ls6 intake manifold. With a good tune i should be able to reach my goals. Still on my learner clutch. Cant wait for it to go out so i can replace it. I still need to learn how to handle the stock power, so i am not in a rush to do anything. Just gonna take it nice and slow, make sure everything is done right. Kieth Craft will be doing any modifications that are not bolt on. All suspension will be BMR. Should be a quick street car when i get done. Will probably never see the track though. I perfer to set benchmarks by dyno. Anyway, i have only hade the car a little over a week now, but i have been planning modifications for around 2 months. Still have lots to learn. Basically live on ls1tech now, so i should see a lot of you guys. does anyone know how to post pics in my sig. I really want my car to show up there.

That's not a good idea to start off on....unless you plan on dynoing at the same dyno, at the same temperature, at the same time....with the same barometric pressure....otherwise...be smart, and use a dyno as a tuning tool, not a gauge for performance gains.
Sounds like you got your plans pretty well set for the car. Good luck carrying through on them!! Keep us posted on the mods! Why Keith Craft Motorsports btw? They are a great group of guys, but why exactly did yo ualready decide on them? I'd assume you live near that shop...j/w

well, i am pretty set on wieth craft for a few reasons. I live close to one of their shops. I also had a dodge stealth TT burn up because an unnamed shop did a terrible job installing the fuel system. Basically a fuel line that wasen't steel braided to start with, which was my fault, was not installed correctly. With out getting to far into it, it failed and my car burnt to a crisp. The guys at kieth craft have a lot of experiance with the f-bodys. Hell, 1/2 the cars in their shop had ls1's in them. Plus, they have good customer service, as well as great workmanship, from what i can tell. This was my first dealings with them, and they were punctual, called me before they installed anything we haden't discussed, needed o2 extensions for the LT's, and were done when they said they would be. Most importantly the wields on the SFC's looked really clean. They are set up with a dyno, and ls1 edit. They also keep a large inventory, so waiting on parts to come in is less of an issue than it would be if i went to a smaller shop. They probably charge a little bit more, but in my experiance you get what you pay for. They just seem to be very proffesional.

about the dyno not being a good way to view progress. I would agree with everything you said. However, all those conditions, w/ the exception of the different dyno, are present at the track. I think that if you use the same dyno everytime and are willing to except some error that dynometer readings are an exceptable way to measure results. Also, i have had bad experiances at the track in my last car w/ things breaking (halfshafts, clutch, transmission, the list goes on). The dyno is a safer way for me to measure my results.
