Default Squeaking when warm outside?

My car's belts/pulleys squeal when it's warm outside! It seems to be worse if it's humid too. It was cold in Texas for most of December but lately it's been in the 60's and 70's and the engine is chirping. After the car warms up for 10 mins or so it goes away. I believe my a/c refrigerant is low. Could that be it? Its very annoying and I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks a lot!

You might take a look at the belt tension; the belts in my car was squealing a lot, and after adjusting that, it hardly ever does anymore

Where exactly is the belt tensioner on a LS1? I was also thinking it was maybe the idler pulley but again, I'm not sure. Thanks a lot for your input!

Well, I've never actually seen under the hood of an f-body so I can't be much help in describing where it's located , but at Thunder Racing they have a photo of the MBA tensioner pulley installed, maybe that'd be of some use: http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...s444_large.jpg

And here's some squeal/tensioner/belts-related threads:

Sounds like the idler pulleys are a pretty common source of squeals too.

Your stock pulley tensioner will not have the cap.

ACW, thank you so much for the help! I really appreciate the work you put into helping me out! You know quite a bit about an engine you've never pried into it seems.
