call a freight company from up there and tell them to pick it up and deliver it to you. is it on a pallet already? they might need to send a truck after it with a lift or somthing. if you want it bad you can call a hot-shot company. a hotshot company employs a bunch of people with pickup trucks to deliver/pickup one thing at a time, it costs more but everything gets to where it should in one piece and is done fast as it does not have to go through a freight forwarder.
we have had good business with AAA cooper freightlines at work. i'm not sure if they have trucks up north but just look up freight in the phonebook or somthing. call them up, i'm sure they work out stuff like this all the time.

I would ONLY drive the car back to my house. I have heard too many horror stories about trucking companies damaging cars and not being on time. I was looking into shipping a car from cali, but with lots of research I just found a car closer and drove and got it.

i think this guy was just wanting to ship the motor, not a whole car..
