my mods are in sig, and im still untuned. but i just drove from tampa to virginia, and got about 300 miles to the tank when i first left, and towards the end of the trip i got 340 miles to the tank. when i first left i was getting on it here and there, but towards the end i just stayed in 6th and set the cruise at 95. 340 miles to the tank is pretty good, IMO

I don't even remember how many miles I get per tank, but in city I get about 12-13 mpg and on the highway I get about 22-24 mpg. An entire list of mods is in my sig on page 3, but mainly heads/cam, headers

Getting 14 mpg with mods below and engine light on. Going to get it checked in the spring so I can get 18+mpg again. Never drov ethe car a long distance so I don't know how it is on the highway.

The price of heads makes the gas mileage point pretty moot. If you can afford them and all the supporting mods the few dollars a week difference doesn't mean anything.
Hell, the price of new valve springs is probably larger than the difference in cost over a year or two.

Not that many people pay attention to their gas mileage or what? I sure do with $2.00 a gallon.
Case closed.
If you can afford them, you don't care whether you're getting 15 mpg or 20 mpg. The cost of keeping a modified car makes fuel for it a very tiny part.
No one cares about gas mileage.
If you really do, buy a civic.
That said, my Z28 got 28 mpg on the highway when it was near stock, with 3.73 gears even (and a 6 speed).
You don't buy these cars for gas mileage.
My $0.02.

i see your point...but i think you are getting a little bit too hostile about it...but basically yes if you are going to modify your car you might as well not be thinking about gas mileage...however you still get fairly good gas mileage seeing that it is a high performance machine...ie viper get's like 10mpg

I'm not **** about the gas mileage as you make it out to seem, i'm just aware of it as i am a college student, i simply wanted to know what i was getting myself into before i started doing mods on my car that are more extreme.

My mods and power #'s are in my sig.
I get an average of 15-16 in town (just filled up the other day and checked, did just over 16 on the last tank) and average 24-28 on the highway. Depends on how fast I drive, how many cars I blast by, and weather. I have found that the warmer the temp, the worse the milage.
I check the milage just because I am VERY **** about my car and keep records about everything including oil changes and milage during the year.
As posted above, if milage is a factor as to if you should buy this car or mod the one you have, then you shouldn't.

I get between 16 to 19 in the city and about 24 to 26 on the hightway. I don't have many mods have the ram air mod, wisper lid, smooth bellows, flowmaster with exhaust cutout, and also have a auto with 2.73s. Soon to get headers and off road pipe
And just for the hell of it my 1980 camaro get 4-6 mpg in town on 114 race fuel and no highway driving lol.

I pull an average of 18.5 miles to the gallon in city, and approx 26 on highway. i get into it pretty often in city driving, and have hit a high of just over 20 mpg when driving it easy constantly. I did not buy the car for gas mileage, but to refute people saying it isnt important:
I see good gas mileage as yet another benefit of our engines. I like to keep track of the gas mileage to help motivate myself to drive my car easier (dosnt hardly stop me, but i try), and also to help me gauge how well my engine is running, and how my car is reacting to fuel from different vendors.
I think gas mileage is very important, and I find myself obsessing about it sometimes. Yet to be honest, if i have to choose between moding to gain MORE POWER and maintaing good gas mileage, then hands down im gonna mod my car.
Hell, im gonna have to mod the hell out of my car to get worse gas mileage than my pops. He only gets 11.7 to gallon out of his excursion.

best I got was a hair over 30 mpg with a stock M6 2001, that was in the states of nevada and utah, but the further east I went, my mpg went down, and in Missouri, where I live, I cant get better than 28mpg.
