Total 01 Camaro Makeover
Guys,
Heres the deal, I have had my 2001 Black Camaro Z28 A4 for a year now, but i have just come into a bankroll for a makeover. I need to know everyones opinions for what i should to to my car. Here is what I want as the end result:
Generally Stock Appearance Exterior (with notable exceptions)
Supercharge or Turbo
Auto to Manual Conversion
Rearend?
All new Intake, Cats, exhaust
New brake system
new suspension system
Internal engine changes?
The main thing is that its my "daily driver" so to speak. So im not outfitting her for the track, but i want alot of HP and really high-end components. But with not a HUGE gasoline bill yearly.
I need everyone to give me the best that i can do! And anything that i need to do in conjunction with any of the big changes...
THANKS ALOT GUYS, I love this forum!!!!

I am looking at at least 40000 available (btw, its an inheritance) to do what i want to do, the "extremity" of the car is subjective, I just want something with ALOT of HP but not so much that its not drivable on a daily basis (yes i know i said this before) , really i need a "long" list of what i should do (no acronyms) because yes i have had my car, but no i dont know all the acronyms yet. Plus i want all the best. OF COURSE! right???

these things are money pits, and its dangerous having 40k laying around!
i say freshen up the bottom end with forged goodies, get the STS turbo or a vortech charger, full exhaust, and some suspension goodies. all the other things are good enough,IMO. maybe some stronger axles too. and invest the rest of that money in something a little less ridiculous than your car!
that is, unless you are just rich anyway. then go nuts, its only money!

Good call. That is somewhat what i planned to do, however I wrote it differently than i intended. I want to make it fast... and look good, i DONT WANT to spend that much haha. Like i said originally... turbo/charger ??? which one?.... suspension and intake headers exhaust and auto to man converision are my main priorities. After that, its all just fine tuning.... she wont be on the track much and I want it daily drivable... So, everyones opinions please....

I would sugest a nice streetable cam with your car....umm maybe a compcam. Also some LS6 components(heads, intake, yatta yatta yatta). A rear end is almost a must if your gonna run with all that power...JMO

If your heart is set on modding the car you currently have.
You stated that you want to appear more or less stock on the exterior. So any exterior "touches" you can decide on your own.
With the cash your working with, AND HOPEFULLY THATS JUST A SMALL PORTION OF YOUR REAL INHERITANCE THAT YOU SET ASIDE SPECIFICALLY FOR AUTOMOBILES, you should get the basic suspension necessities. Nothing crazy just solid and streetable. Then put together a BULLETPROOF drivetrain. I would just stick with the A4 if I were you. After that I'd suggest getting the 402 LS2 stroker from SDPC and set it up for boost. I'd go single turbo, 12 psi max. Then have a REPUTABLE shop install and tune it for the street. That's what I'd do if I had too much cash for my own good.
If your not dead set on sticking with this car, then definitely go Z06. Preferably '06.
