No it was a $325 (P.O.S. IMHO) option. And they were an option for all LS1 F-Bodies.

Pull it out and try a B&M Ripper or Pro 5.0.

Peace,
Craig.

Yes I agree, not much better than a $35.00 plastic replacement piece...B&M or Pro 5.0. You'll feel the quality first time out. Good Luck, Tom

Had the factory Hurst option...biggest waste of money evar! I replaced it with a Pro 5.0 also. In answer to the question: the Hurst was an option on any of the 6spd F-bodies, but not standard on any of them.

I have the aftermarket Hurst with the Lou's short stick. I never miss a shift anymore.

Well I looked for those two codes and nope they were not there so i guess I don't have the hurst any drawbacks from not having the hurst?

Nope, P.O.S. IMHO. Just get you a B&M Ripper or Pro 5.0 and you'll be very happy. My SS had the Hurst and I gave it away when I bought a B&M Ripper. I then tried a Pro 5.0 but I sent it back, I like the Ripper better. I liked it so much I put it in my Trans Am as well.

If you still can't decide on a shifter find someone around you that has one or the other in their LS1 F-Body so you can be the judge for yourself.

Peace,
Craig.

I installed a B+M Ripper last weekend, replacing the stock hurst. There is absolutely no comparison.

I have the hurst shifter optin with a UMI short stick, works very well with no problems, haven't missed a shift and is very smooth. The aftermarket shifters are nice as well, but I'm very happy with mine as it is.
