You have 7,100 miles or 71,000 miles?
If you have 7k, I would keep it and modify your SS to smoke all.....IMO. I love the GTO, a coupld of friends have one. Very comfortable, but it is not a race car. They are really heavy and even the 05 w/ 400 hp is probably gonna be about as fast as your currnet ride.....
I would get a lightly used Z06 if I were you....my 2 pennies.

Saying the GTO is nice is going to be an understatement. What you want to do with the car should highly influence your decision. Also, if you're gonna get an LS2 GTO, wait till november/december when they still aren't selling and you can get one for less than $25K. now is not the time to get the LS2 GTO.

Stick with the SS, with only 7k you still have a new car that is getting more and more rare to find.400hp is appealing, but sitting in your driveway you will be looking at one generic, boring car (my 2cents).The f-bodies lines are beautiful and unique and won't be seen again. If you do go for the GTO, bluesix summed it up right, hold off untill the end of 2005.They were practically giving them away here in Western New York, great deals on a slow selling car.

Two totally different cars. One is just a cruiser, the GTO is heavy but probably the most comfortable car I have been in, including my C5. The SS is more of a sports car. Just decide which way you want to go.

I have both. The SS is definately more fun to drive and looks better IMO, the GTO is comfortable and fun to drive, but not as muscular and much less of a "beast"

Personally, I'd keep the SS. IMO.
