Is a SLP flopac worth it?
Ive been searching for info on flopacs, air lid & smooth bellows & whether its worth the money to buy SLP's flopac or would buying maybe just an air lid help boost hp? My z28 is stock except for a Magnaflow cat-back system. I dont know much about this but I figure the cat-back is moving the air out, whats the best cheapest way to get it in? I know this type of question has been asked before & I have read all the threads I can find on this site & others. Anyone have any advice?

Do you mean Just the lid? That would only be around $100. Thanks for your opinion.

Yes Mr. Bowtie I did read your opinion (which I value very much. You seem to be The Man on these sites) before I wrote my question. In fact recently I look for your comments first. I thought I would throw the topic out again & see if opinions changed. So your advice (& everyone elses) is to just go with the lid for around $100. Yes?

I only put the kit on my car cause I got it used and for a really cheap price (I needed a better lid as the one I had got cracked--that was the last time my oil got changed by someone other than myself).
I'd have to say it's mainly just something else to list as a mod.

I have been researching FTRA for the past month on previous threads and other sites, haven't heard of anyone having a problem with normal rain.I have read a few posts of people mistakenly going through some deep standing water, but nothing about driving in the rain.

Ive hit puddles in torrential downpours going 60 mph with not a drop of water getting up in there. Theres nothing to worry about. In fact didnt someone do a test where they took a high pressure sprayer and sprayed up into the FTRA intake and no water got in? Theres an article on it somewhere online.

Yes..."Just get a lid," means ..... well.... just get a lid. If you want to add a smooth bellows that might give you 1-2 hp.
