Default selling my skittle for a LS1

Im going to sell my SRT-4 then start looking for some z28s and trans ams in about a year. Im hoping to get a WS6 with under 40000 miles. Do you guys think i will have alot of trouble finding a good one in a year from now?

yeah you can find one if your willing to spend the money. i just bought a 2000 trans am ws6 pewter in mint condition with 22000miles and i got it for 18g's which is a steal i think. i mean it has every service record, window sticker, and never seen snow or rain. so yeah if you dont mind spending money you can prolly get what ever you want.

I'm in the same boat. I just bought a '00 Firehawk with 21k miles. Mint cond. M6 car was babied. I paid 18k, and I know I got a decent deal.

you can really do anything you want, find a really nice mint condition one for the prices those guys paid, or you can buy one for 10k like i did and not have to worry about it never getting wet

I don't think that you should have any problem finding one. It took me about four months of searching for a TA to find the one that I want. That is also 7 months after I started looking for a car. Talking with agents March April May is the best time to sell a sports car. They can get the most out of the vehicle. If you can wait, August and September are a times to get a deal. After about September 15, they all go into storage. If you can wait try for October. I got mine for less than blue book.

I can understand you selling the skittle for an ls1, I'm glad I made the right decision BEFORE purchasing.... the skittle was at the top of my list, I had all the mods picked out and everything but then I drove a TA

I'd buy a skittle once the TA is paid for, it would make a nice family vehicle..

i think it's probably because they're shaped like a skittle with wheels.

all things considered, a 13 second skittle is not a bad car in my book. it is true though that you can't compare one to a 4th gen TA with an angry V8 under the hood though.

It's not so much the rain water coming down on the car but the water all over the dirty street splashing on the car and such. Evereything that you can imagine on the street surface...dirt, mud, oil, coolant, road kill, etc...gets mixed into the water that is splashing all over the place. The only time my car has seen rain since I've owned it was when I was caught out in it.

You should not have any problems finding one when your ready. Plenty of people baby their cars and are looking to up grade all the time so just be patient and take your time when you are ready to buy. Good luck.

i picked my car up last month, its an 02 WS-6 with 15,000 miles on it. Just happened to be surfing the internet and did a search on autotrader for a black trans am, m6, with under 20k, distance anywhere in the united states and it pulled up 2....one was 15 miles from my front door. Left 5 minutes later and picked it up for 21,000. Beat two other people there that were gonna supposedly buy it that day.
