I have a 3 year old and a 5 year old and they both have had seats in the rear of both my 99' Bird and my 01' WS6. They both love driving in my car and think it is a race car.
The rear seats are perfect for little ones.

I have had car seats (front& rear facing) in my 98 as well as my 2000 SS. It sucks for the passenger because you have to have the seat prety far froward for rear facing. But it works. 
I take my son out in the SS all the time. He loves the T-Tops.

baby seats will fit anywhere, my mom had mine in a 79ta, 86ta and 94ta. it can be done!!! i had a babyseat in my 98 when i took my ex boyfriends lil sister for a ride when i first got my car. i will NEVER be a soccer mom. ill have a car seat in my sportscar, ill rock the kid in the hot car just like my mom did.
