Default Are 01-02 A Lot Better?

Hey I am looking at buying a WS6 and have read about the differences between the years and saw that the 01 and 02's have the LS6 intake and injectors and different cats and exhaust manifolds. I was wondering if these are that big of a deal and if i should look for an 01-02 or if it doesnt really matter that much. All i plan on doing to it are just a Lid, exhaust and headers. Thanx Ben

The '01 & '02 are also EGR-free, and have 5 hp more than the '98-'00.

is that worth waiting and paying the little extra for over a 99 or 00?

new intake = $400, new injectors = $50-100, no EGR =

I guess it's just personal preference.

01-02's also have the Z06 clutch setup. That is not
a bad thing. Plus sunset orange metallic if you can find one.

I love my '00, so if you find one you like buy it! The intake is a mod you can make on your own later down the road.

Thats very low miles. You may want to consider that alone.

Yeah thats kind of what I though BlownV8. The tires have hardly any wear or anything so i can tell the car wasnt beat on real hard and taken care of. Really clean all the way around. I guess if i do end up getting a 2000 or something i can always remove the EGR and put on an LS6 intake and stuff myself if i really want to. Are the Z06 clutches a lot better and are the 2000's junk or what? Id probably go with a perfomance clutch if i ever had to get another one anwayz but ya.. just some stuff im considering before i buy one. Thanx

When you do decide on which one you want make sure you always check the wheel wells and under the body behind the wheels for rubber. Most of the time people over look the body.

EGR removal is not problem it take $10 and 30 minutes if even. I have a 98 and it has 28# injectors. depending on what you plan to do this may not effect you I know that be next summer I will need 42# injectors. Milage wise 14k is real nice but the LS1 can really handle miles, mines got 81k on it and there are a few people here with like 120k + and I think there is one guy who is over 200K in his LS1!!!!!
