Angry 2002 Corvette LS1(G) Engine noise

Frustrated LS1 owner with metallic engine noise, i.e. valve lifters, cylinder slap or maybe even crank and rod noise ??? ......more pronouced with first start of the day and when on 45 degree incline driveway.....quiets down when engine warms up and has been driven a few miles......currently has 18,000 easy driven miles, maybe........Automatic-Roadster...... I'm the second owner and have no maintenance records......Is this engine notorious for lubrication problems and or engine noise ??? Recently switched over to Amsoil series 2000 and K&N oil filter.....Help !!!.....Looking for suggestions !!!
Thanks, Tom

Sounds like piston slap. it's normal, most of 'em do it. Nothing to worry about.
