Strange noise when first accelerating hard
Car is a 2001 Trans Am M6 with 40k. Regular maintenance, new fuel filter, pcv valve, ran injection cleaner and top end cleaner, just got oil change. I noticed that when I am in 2nd or 3rd from a roll at low rpm and give it half to full throttle I get a metal jolt sound not like a heat sheld but almost more like a valvetrain type sound from underneath the car. Its almost 100% identical to a stall sound kinda like if you are at a dead stop and in first gear and you roll out the clutch but almost stall the car. I'm wondering if i'm having fueling issues? Car runs like a beast and no ses. I have new plugs, clutch, lid, hooker catback, ported tb. My mechanic told me my driveshaft, u-joints, trans mount looked good, I saw everything underneath and did notice anything loose. This sound only lasts for a second and the rpm is usually around a little under or at 2k rpm. I can make the noise at a higher rpm also and it always happens if I slam the throttle and not roll into it. If I roll into it I don't hear it. Is this detonation or normal for a M6? Help!!!!!!
