Default Just bought LS1 TransAm

Hey guys. I just bought a 99 Pewter LS1 TransAm F-body. Im kind of new to this, so I was just wondering if anyone could tell me some cheap performance mods that I can do to my car? I already put a K and N in, and that helped a little... Any suggestions? Thanks.

Welcome. The best single piece of advice is to use the search button. It is towards the top of the page, kinda to the right. You can use advanced search to go by forum, title, whole thread, all kinds of goodies. Try searching for free mods and first mods as a good start. Is it an auto or manual? If it's an auto you need a torque converter and drag radials! Either way good place to start is things like subframe connectors, lid, cat-back, underdrive pullies, headers (might even want to do duals, so no cat-back), etc etc. If you search around you will find a wealth of information. Hopefull you can ask much more informed and specific questions at that point.

First mod for an LS1 is usually a lid. About a $100 and will gain you a few HP and/or some throttle response at least. After that if it's an automatic and you plan on doing some drag racing start looking into stall converters.

everything you want to know has been asked before, so just use the search button...like he said above. but, lid is normally one of the first mods (even tho it was my last. lol), then most people get exhaust/headers. check out ls1sounds.com to hear different exhaust setups and choose what you like.
