Default Rear Main Seal !

I had a tranny rebuild back in Nov. and I installed a shift kit and a stall. A week after that I raced a friend and after the race I noticed smoke from my passenger side. Took it to the shop the said it was the rear main seal. Long story short they replaced the seal but it still broke 2 more times after that. Still smoking and Im wondering what the problem could be

Sounds like you are getting too much pressure in the tranny. My guess is that after the shift kit install, pressure increased causing it to blow the seal.

thats what the guy at the tranny shop said, but then someone else said to make sure the crank saft wasnt bent and/or mount right so the it isnt breaking the seal?

99.999% its not your crankshaft, its pretty beefy from the factory, if its just had a rebuild then he is right about the pressure. if they did install a shift kit it shouldnt do that to a mostly stock car, just make sure they did install a shift kit and didnt just up the pressure of the lines to much via some kind of programing software and calling that a shift kit, or both

Both is bad! Your tranny has a certain range of pressure it should run at. Too little and the car won't shift, too much and you'll start breaking things (unless the rebuilt tranny you have can handle it).

what would be the best way to go about fixing the problem? The good weathers back where I'm at and dont wanna miss a beat. Should I get reprogammed or a programmer to adjust the car to a new setting to handle the tranny upgrade

you should take it to someone who knows what they are doing and have them diagnose the problem and fix it...
