LS1's do not have "chips". And if someone put a Blowmaster on an LS1, they deserve to lose.

LT1s are great engines. But stock for stock, they're no match for an LS1, period.

Its all about the power curve. The LS1 has it where it counts (mid-high). I considered LT1's for a while too, but there were two main factors that drove me to the LS1.

1) Power. Its just faster, by alot, and can be modded to kingdom come.
2) Optispark vs. coil packs. 'Nuff said.

Oh, and in your sig block you say you have a 6.0L LT1....well no wonder you were able to hang with an LS1, you've got more displacement. You failed to mention that.

Ive got a lt1, and love it, lt1 for life!!! Bang for the buck is what im after. When you start talking about mods, IDK if you can compair em, how are you going to compair two modded engines and call them lt1's and ls1's? But I do plan on getting a 02 ws6 SOM m6 someday, just for the beauty of the car.

LT1s are good motors (though LS1 is better obviously). I only lost by one length to an LS1 vette in my bolt on LT1.

I hardly doubt "everyone dislikes" the LT1... I don't know what you are talking about... Its that the LS1 is preferred... No offense but the original post is weak, lacking, and not well though out...

Who has said they dont like it? Point it out to me, your new so maybe you should do some research before you say stuff like that, its people like you that cause the dislike, not the motor, and im sure that 6.0l helped ya

I don't think the guy even knows what he has. A 6 liter LT1 with only a catback for a mod?

Well if you think about it, maybe he just got lazy and rounded up.

Then again, we could have Z06 guys running around saying they have a "10L LS7".

LS1s have more Tq, more Hp, are easier to work on, and have WAY better heads.

Why wouldn't you like something that is faster and easier to work on for not that much more money?

LT1's are like Zubaz pants...

They used to be cool to have, and they'll always be comfortable, but they aren't made anymore cuz there are better pants out there now.

Oh, and by the way, is your clutch a Spec stg 5 or is it a Centerforce?

I love the way the LT1 sounds...deep and nasty...LS1 sounds good, but not as good as the LT

That's pretty much the only undisputed advantage the LT1 has on the LS1.

I think he just came on here to start a duscussion and see how many people would reply to his thread.

He obviously has no idea what he has...6.0L, Centerforce Spec-5 racing clutch??????

If he was really interested in learning anything from his question he should have posted back up by now the answers tp your guys' questions.

I say we just call this post dead and move on.
