QUESTION:

The 2002 ss ls1 has 320hp and the 2002 c5 vette has 345 Hp.. If they are both ls1's how do they have different HP? Thanks..

They don't, they are just marketed that way. You can also say that the vette has a less restrictive exhaust as well but the engine is basically the same with some minor changes in cam usage.

I see, so what you're saying is the specs are the same except for cam lift , duration and lsa?

well the 98-00 cars had different cams than the 01-02 cars i think, so the difference isnt just between the vette and f-body, but between different year ls1 cars in general.

Yeah the different cam sizes between the Fcar and Ycar were in 98 and 99. In 2000 and later years they used the same cam even though the LSA and timing were different in 2000.
