Depends, there wont be a damn bit of difference between the two ( or a ******* yugo ) for liability, as they are not insuring the car, but the driver. But if you want full coverage, their may be a bit of difference. Look up a LT1 * NEW from GM * and a LS1, also NEW from GM, and see how much the price difference is. If the ls1 is a LOT different from the lt1, then the insurance comp's gonna want more to insure it.
Also its a newer car with a higherblue book, so, in the event of a crash, they are going to have to pay more out than on the older car, so they are going to want more..
BOTTOM LINE
Just call your insurance agent up and talk to him, through him a few different senarios * cars * and see what the insurance rates are going to be. But believe me, if you one of those worried about insurance rates and gas mileage, you'r looking for the wrong car...

The only way you will know is to ask the insurance company you are going to insure it through. There are so many variables, that you are not going to get accurate information that applies specifically to you here. It should only take your company a few minutes at most to give you an accurate quote.
