Default Heads or Spercharger??

I am wanting to know what will make the best power... A Powerdyne supercharger on a stock LS1, or a set of good heads and cam.. And spray..

The heads cam and spray. How much nitrous are you talking? a 100 shot? a 250 shot?

I would rather have the supercharger though, better driveability and the power is always there, no bottles to refill.

I picked up 218 ponies with ATI's Procharger. And those extra ponies are always present when I step on the gas pedal. Cannot say the same about nitrous and its bottle filling routine.

go supercharger, over time n20 will cost about the same, as refills tend to get expensive.

A lot of the guys I know that go supercharger are going Procharger. It has a lot to do also with what kind of cam, heads and how much spray your talking? Give us some more specs on the parts your wanting?

And that's exactly what someone with a daily driver doesn't want...because unlike forced induction, N2O doesn't affect your mileage or driveability...

I'd bet that either could make similar power. I'm looking about a year down the road thinking about either heads/cam with rebuild or a forged motor and supercharger(or turbo). I'm leaning towards the heads/cam (maybe even stroker) setup since that way it won't put as much strain on the drivetrain as I'm planning on a mostly street setup. I'd expect the s/c to be death to the tranny and rear end in short order due to the massive torque increase.

I'd say that the s/c has the best power potential as you can always spray it too...I'm not saying that your motor or drivetrain will last though. Spray gives a bigger gain on an s/c motor as it also acts as an intercooler.

A mild H/C/N20 setup will annihilate a powerdyne supercharger to answer your question.

Between those two...Heads/Cam/Spray, an ATI procharger is a different animal and would be better still ,however it's pricey for everything that has to be done.
