yeah, could be the cluth. OR the most common problem, people just get used to the power and the way their car runs and it just seems like its less to you. im that way with alot of things, i used to have a big stereo system and after a while it just seemed that it wasnt as loud. it was just me getting used to it. i was the same way about the power in my car. hope nothing's wrong with your car.

I am starting to think its my clutch now, after talking to some one at work, they said if my rpm's are rasising fast then it might be the clutch. Is this true? Also my clutch pedel feels like mushe or some thing.

Hmm, so is it hard to change a clutch? Should i change the flywheel to, or any thing else to do with the clutch? My car has 75,000 miles.

when changing clutch, i believe you'll need to re-surface the flywheel. Also I heard you might have to shim the bell housing now that you just re-surface the flywheel, and bleed the clutch.

put it in 6th gear while cruising at around 60 mph and punch it. if the rpms "float" up then your clucth is toast.

If youre not highly modded, the c5 z06 clutch kit (ls6 clutch) is the best bang for the buck. It can be had for under 400 bucks including the clutch, pressure plate, and a new flywheel. If youve got a bit more HP to hold, you can try the new ls7 clutch but its a bit more pricey and requires buying an ls2 flywheel for a c6 vette in order to work with an f-body. Either way you should upgrade to the 2002 hydraulics (master / slave). Both clutches should be chatter free, hold a good deal of power, and have stock like street manners and durability since theyre factory clutches.

I am all stock right now, i have 74,000 miles, and i dont plan on doing more than maybe exhuast and a few other bolt ons, may be a cam.......where is the best place to but theses kits from?

What would have to do to ungrade to the new mast/slave?

Try fred beans or SDPC. I dont have the part number off hand, but they should be easy enough to find. Youll have good luck with the cheaper z06 clucth kit. The slave will be easy enough to replace when youve got the tranny out to replace the clutch. The master is under through the firewall and just has a U bolt holding it in.

Do i need to do that drill mod thing too?

You could do the drill mod, and get new slave while you are in there (fairly cheap, like 110 or so)

....the loudmouth exhuast was so damn loud when I first had it installed I thought of removing it and loudmouth replaced the slowmaster muffler. I always thought some how the exhuast quieted down by itself cause after 3 weeks the noise wasn't as bad and now it way more enjoyable then when I first installed the loudmouth exhuast. And this wasn't the case with the slowmaster.
