Default 99 ws6

im looking around at some cars and i found a 1999 ws6 w/ 45k miles for $14,500. i went and test drove it and it drove like a charm.. the steering wheel was kind of stiff but that might be how fbodys drive.. first v8 fbody ive driven.. anyways i just have this bad feeling that i shouldnt go for it due to the somewhat high mileage.. i also saw a 02 formula w/ 36k miles for 17.. i think their kind of high in price or what not but about the ws6 do you guys think thats a pretty fair price? also the body is very clean and the interior has some small scratches on the back panel of the seats. and the antenna in the back is broken off so id prolly just disconnect the power from the motor of that.. anyways what do u guys think about the price and mileage.. id like this car to last me a good 4 years.. the carfax was clean also.. but if i put like a 100 shot of spray and some basic boltons do you think this car would be a good buy/choice. or should i look for something lower in miles. also this car had 1 owner.
thank you for any input.

lol you think 45k miles is alot, what do you junk cars when they hit 50k or drive them off a cliff?

45k is nothing, especially for a 99. mine hit 80k the others day and not one problem. Decent price on that one.

if you dont beat the crap out of them, 150k+ miles. i know of plenty of LS1's that people run the **** out of them on a daily basis and they have over 100k on them. 45k is exllent and it will last you 10 years. provided you keep up regular maintinence.

ya, um 45k miles is not higher mileage, that would even be considered low mileage for an '02. most people don't even consider 75k to be high mileage. I say ****** that car up and enjoy!!

aight sounds good.. like w/ my parents cars they usually trade em in every 50k miles so 45 seems high in my perspective. but all i plan on doing is some minor mods along w/ a 100 shot of spray. but i dont plan on spraying all the time.. just when needed - maybe a cam but that would be later on.. anyways thanks for the input and pray i get this car

Pretty good deal. Mine has 95k miles of pure abuse and runs just as strong as the day I bought it. Change the oil and take care of the car it will take care of you.

45k miles is nothing, dude. My 98 had 94k miles on it when I bought it, up to 112k now. Only problems I've had were the headlight motors and carrier bearings getting chewed up.

I often wonder if it had a new motor when I got it because it feels real strong for its age, and I heard that a lot of the early 98 cars had shitty oil pumps that failed and toasted a lot of engines.

dude...45k, a lot of miles. I mean, mine in sig is super low because it hasnt ever been driven. your car is averaging less than 7k per year. thats nothing. the average vehicle gets more than double that in a year. thats fine. and yes, the steering wheel is stiff, thats the way it is, because who wants sloshy steering at 150? id say go for it, it looks great.
