Default 40K+ Miles. Any problems?

Well I am still on the quest for an LS1 for a good price. I was originally going to look for one with 25k or less miles but those are few and far between around here. I did, however, find a couple with about 40k miles that seemed to be in good condition. One of them was a 2000 WS-6. You think I will run into any problems with that many miles? What about if I plan on adding a cam? Will that make any difference?

It's all about the maintenance, if its been maintained well, you should have no problems, if it hasn't, well you know the rest
FYI my 02 is at 39k, haven't had one problem, and I don't drive like grandma either

like said above if it was well maintained then yeah. people are throwing cams in there cars that have 70k+ miles on them so you'll be ok. ive got right at 70 on mine and ive got a nice size cam in there

With only 40k on a 2000 and providing its stock I bet its been taken care off, simply due to the milage, but its only a guess. I'll also be the token high milage guy and say that I have 137k on mine and its cammed/stalled etc. and it runs great!

That one I'd offer 16-17, not a bad price, and looks in pretty good shape too (BTW it looks to have the hurst shifter as well)

Ahh ok cool. Might go look at it next weekend. Also, can you tell if those wheels are the 16s or the 17s?

Maybe this will help. I bought my signature car last July for $13900 with 17k miles.

The wheels are 17” polished aluminum.

I got lucky and found one with 25K and it was GM Certified. Course I jumped right on that one cause I figured those would be few and far between.
