Test drove a 2001 WS6
I am looking to trade in my '97 for a LS1 T/A and I test drove a 2001 WS6 this past Sunday and loved the car, but a few things seemed not quite right to me. I had a few questions for you LS1 guys. First thing was the idle of the car. It was an A4 and it idled at 500 RPM's. Seemed a bit low and the car was a little rough at idle. Also the temp was right around 210 for the whole test drive. Isn't that a bit high?
Thanks!

idle is a little low, and the temp will always read 210 because its not an actual reading, its just an idiot light to let u know if u overheat. pay no attention to that guage... unless of course ur overheating ha ha.

Yeah I saw that one and I'd love to have it unfortunately I don't have cash in hand. I'm already gonna loose a little bit on my T/A that I'm trading in......but I'm willing to part w/ the money to have an LS1.

What is trade in on your ride? Have you tried to sell it yet? I've always had good luck selling these cars.
Just so you know the LS1's call to you and they are MUCH easier to work on, but there is nothing wrong with a LT1 car especially a 97. You can buy a blower for 2500 bucks and tear up most things on the street. If I could go back and do it all over again I'd still have my 93, even after owning the 01 SOM WS6 and the Z06 both of which were basically new when I bought them and had over 400rwhp when I sold them. The 93 would be nasty right now.....shoot 93Fastbird on the board owns it and it STILL is nasty!!!

No bluebook for an 02 WS6 is like 24 grand. For some reason 02 WS6's have held there re-sale more than the other models. The SS is also up there at about 21 grand I believe.
