Question Intake Questions

I have a LS1 intake and need to upgrade. Are the aftermarket intakes worth the doubled price tag over the LS6? Also is "porting" the intake nothing more than just the intake hole itself or is there a way to port the runners on this type of intake?

with bolt ons the aftermarket (fast) intake isnt worth it. when you get into heads/cam territory, then its a worthy investment.

there really is no porting you can do to the manifolds. the material doesnt really like it

Yeah an LS6 intake wont be holding you back. @ the shop theres a t/a with a 370cube/~500rwhp still rocking the ls6 and stock tb. Get cam and heads first

I think it depends on your budget and goals......if you want to spend more and get maybe ~15 hp....then go for it.

If you are on a budget, and you want an intake, there is no reason not to get the LS6 manifold.

I was pretty much planning on a LS6 anyway but curious about the others. The extra money it would cost to get a FAST can go towards my stall or cam.
