That car is worth that much $$$ just as a pile of parts so hell yes a driving car is a good deal!

Congrats on the purchase! Get some basic tools and learn how to work on these cars. It's easy if you buy a "Chilton's manual" and you'll save lots of labor costs on water pumps and stuff like that.

This is a good buy if it was an older guy and he took good care of it even though it has a lot of miles as long as he didnt dog it out and changed the oil in a timely matter you should be good to go. Did he have any mods on it when you bought it? If not he was probably like a older vette owner all show no go they just like nice looking sports cars and the only time they ever really use the power is to pass another car on the highway or the freeway.

Miles are high, but then again, my 95 TA had 170K and was rock solid.

I started with "I just bought a new T/A" but then changed it because someone like you would take notice . You must be a fun person to hang with kinda Jack Nickleson's character in "As Good As It Gets" lol

I wanted to ask a few questions in this thread , would you recommend a new topic or should I fire away ? How much horsepower do I have in this year and trim ? What kind of air filter should I buy ? Shouild I flush all the fluids in the brakes , tranny , differential , and fuel filter change ?

miles shouldnt be an issue. it can be rebuilt. loads of parts. Always due a new owner service to the car..who knows what the previous owner did. for modding there is a huge write up under new enthusiast by JRP and jaberwaki..last , a good group hangs out in the western member area, a lot of us hang, cruise ,shoot sht.

Hi again I was not sure if I should start a new thread or keep all my questions in this thread ? But anyways I paid 504.00 for oil ,lube and filter , tranny flush plus filter change, fuel filter , differential oil change plus gasket , and a 29 point car inspection (joke) because on Sat I was driving then my low coolant light came on . I bought some dexcool and filled my radiator . But my purge tank was full , any suggestions . I will go tomorrow to flush my coolant. Is that common for the light to go on after a so called 29 point inspection ? Hoses look good. Thanks again . And where is the fuel filter located at ? Forgot the services @ Cormier Chevrolet in Carson , Ca hence the high as amount
