you're 150 shot will put you well over 400 to the wheels....but I assume you mean n/a

Just about any heads and cam package will put you to a minimum of 400 to the wheels on an m6 car.

Id get the prc ls6 heads with competition valve job and comp 918 springs, .040 cometic gaskets and a 228r cam. Dont mill the heads at all...the cometic will give you about 11.1 compression, a tight quench, and a dcr in the neighborhood of 8.5-8.6 in conjunction with the 64cc ls6 heads.
This will net you around 420 to the wheels minimum with full bolt ons (pulley, ls6 intake which you have, ported TB,full exhaust, lid etc) and will have good streetability. It is one of the best bang for the buck combos around IMO

I am sure others might recommend a larger cam...but if you want good streetability and powerband that doesnt need to be revved to the moon, and is friendly to the stock gears, I wouldnt go much larger.

Or you can go cam only. It's nice to raise the compression ratio when adding camshaft duration, but you can get away with it quite well on these engines.

A cam around 230 duration on a 112 LSA for roudy idle *or* 230 duration and 114 LSA for a rumbly, but smoother idle and flatter powerband.

With all bolt-ons mentioned above except heads you will hit 400 rwhp and about 380 rwtq.

Need a little more info on the car, A4 or M6, thats a big factor in RWHP, what kind of drivability are you looking for, or willing to sacrafice? You could just do full bolt ons, and a 150 shot and be close if not over 500 to the wheels on the squeeze, and at about 360 every other time, you'll get better MPG with the added performance of bolt ons, once you start cammin you sacrafice MPG, drivability, (mostly if you are an auto this becomes an issue unless you have a stall). There is quiet a few options, full boltons and spray will probably be $1500 - $2000 if you do all the work yourself.

You could do full bolt ons and a relatively large cam and hit 400 to the wheels no problem then. Then there is the issue of the clutch and rearend though.

If you want good streetability and a guaranteed 400 plus to the wheels. Do heads and cam.

Not everyone hits 400 to the wheels with a mild cam and bolt ons.

If it was me I would forget the nitrous for now and do a h/c set up. If you still need more after that then throw a 100 shot on it. I wouldnt go 150 shot on a stock bottom end high compression h/c ls1...but thats just me.

But if you are tight for cash you could just do a cam and nitrous. Depends on what you want. But the cam and nitrous would only be slighly cheaper than heads and cam, you would also be faster with cam only and nitrous.

Its up to you.
I am betting you are going to want some heads later on...so just do it now. Once you are cam only you are just going to wonder what it would be like to have heads also...its an addiction.

Alot of M6 guys hit 400 cam only, and he has 241's aswell so that'll help, I'm sure if he did one of the bigger cams that TSP offers, and a tune w/full bolt ons he'd be there.

what do you guys think about porting and polishing my 241 heads? with a larger cam

and as for the clutch and rear end a while back i had my trans rebuilt due to synchro issues and i had them put a spec 3 clutch in just because they did it for free. and the rear end im able to buy a 9' for 500 with 4:10's and im thinking off doing that this week and the heads n cam next paycheck
