Default In my head?

My SOTP dyno is messin' up! When I got my car back from the motor install etc. it seemed way fast to me, I've had it back for about a month and I just took a buddy for a spin, he was impressed, but I was just kinda like "uhhh". Its not making any weird noises (well except for one which I can't describe coming from the engine bay, getting that checked out tomorrow) not burning oil (much, freakin' 02 motors ) and i still have no prayer for traction unless I'm going about 40, but it just feels slow! For some reason I used to remember it fishtailing me pretty good from a 30 roll, this time with my friend, I could feel it break loose, rear end moved a lil, then chirped into 2nd, and all I thought was "weak sauce". Maybe its in my head... but what do you guys think?

How much does your friend weigh?

You're probably just getting used to the power.

lol it's in your head. i bought my car 2 weeks ago and from coming a 1995 3.4L firebird, it was scary fast. now i'm like meh, i need gears. this thing's a dog with 2.73's - it doesn't like to downshift. the only time it feels fast is when i blow past someone next to me. cars always seem faster when you're screaming past the guy next to you.

Day/Night driving and when you first turn the car on in the morning compared to after sitting in traffic.

That and every time I try to impress a friend the car drags it *** on the street like a dog with worms, otherwise I accidentally hit 75 in a 45 because I forget to shift out of 2nd in time.

It's very easy to get used to power. It's like a drug. You get it and you're like "OMG...that is amazing!" Then it wears off to the point you really don't feel it anymore. It's still there, but it just doesn't give you the feeling. That's where more mods come into play....to feed the addiction to that feeling!

Maybe...just maybe...at some point someone could have soo much power that they never get used to it. I've never been there, so you'd have to ask someone who could be.

I know what ya'll mean. 400horse A4 with 2.73s still feels like a turd. I always have to manually kick down cause the damn thing doesn't want to. From a stop, no traction til 3rd, And when moving it's a turd.

Dunno if my 4k stall has anything to do with it.

the A4 to me just feels so sluggish compared to the M6, just cause theres not so many gears to run through...but also you wont get worn out in your car from shifting all the damn time. You have a great setup, you prolly just think you need more, my two cents.

Randomn stupid question...what exactly is the weight on the A4 as opposed to the M6 cars?

Lol, what suprised me tonight was just like the "pissed off passing the person that just cut me off" half WOT pull, pulled a lil harder than I thought, but then sometimes at WOT I'm just like "eh". It probably is in my head
