Anti Slip Regulation. It is suppose to help you control the car better at times of low traction but I never use it. People around here call it the "anti fun control"

Look for RPO code NW9 on the drivers side door. My car doesn't have it, wiring is behind the "blank" on the dash, but just installing a switch won't make it work.

Probably still need to have the computer tuned to put ASR in. Might be control modules as well you will need. ASR was only a 450 option and I'm betting it will cost a lot more to retrofit a non ASR car with ASR.

It's not just the rear end - don't worry about not having it, glad my car doesn't have it.

actually its acceleration slip regulation, and its the stupidest thing ever. It forces the gas pedal up when you lose traction. I hate it and wish my SS didn't have it, i instinctly turn it off everytime i start my car.

Yeah the first few times I would have spun tires when I had just gotten the car, the pedal kicking at me freaked me out!

Yep, first thing I do is turn ASR off. It is so much of a reflex now I can't even remember doing it. The only way I can see it helping you is by having 4 channel ABS if you were to get a 9".

A Sexy Ride

when you flip it, hydraulics lift your car up and down, a disco ball comes out and fine women make their way into your backseat.

or it just keeps your *** on the road when raining

Or just keeps you from spinning around on dry newly paved roads. Happend to me today, was just messing around, did a quick rev and dumped it not expecting to do much, but then the back whipped around like nothing but came to a stop because of ASR. Saved my tail that time, but all other times when im trying to and forget its on it owns me.

Oh man the first time I floored my camaro with it on I was scared poopless I had no idea what was happening. The first few thoughts that came into my head was that 1. I was about to blow up the engine or 2. it was possesed... haha I wish I had a way of keeping the ASR light off, it's so annoying.

i've actually almost gotten in 2 accidents thanks to that piece of poo. first time it was wet and I have 4.11's, not the best combo, but was merging onto and onramp and the car started to spin out, and instead of letting me correct myself it locked up and spun me the other way off of the on ramp.

the second time some *** jacked on their brakes in front of me for no reason at all (if you live in south florida you know exactly what i'm talking about) and when the brakes locked, instead of the abs coming on, traction control thought i was losing traction and started freaking out, almost causing yet another accident. good thoughts of design, but doesn't help me out with my driving style.
