Default How to get real power

I have a (semi)stock 01' automatic T/A. The only mod is a Hooker Catback. The goal is to push it to 345 HP. Without using NOS, what's the most effective and cost efficent way of doing that?

well you should already have more than that at the crank, but im guessing you're talking about RWHP

start off with lid, headers and decide where you want to go from there with the rest of the bolt ons. if you're looking for a lower et and not just numbers, i would say to get a stall...

345 shouldn't be a problem. You have an auto so it'll take a little more to get the same power to the wheels as an m6 but a lid, catback, and headers should do it. Then I would get a torque converter and a tune and you'll probably be more than happy.

That's a fair statement. However, I also agree with Brandon.

Back on topic...

A baby cam and headers along with a few bolt ons will easily put you
above 350rwhp.

thats my point...why spend the same amount of moeny for 360ish whp as you would for 400-420?

if you only want that..stock ls6 heads and a later zo6 cam..03 and 04 I think should do perfectly and be really streetable.

longtubes ORY and lid are your first cost effective RWHP mods.

if you're intrested in going faster at the track, your most cost effective mods after that would be a stall, slicks and QA1s.
