Ram Air Question I am putting a WS6 ram air hood on my 98 ls1 trans am. I already have a granatelli airlid, k and n air filterand also cold airbox that runs down towards ground behind radiator. What else will I need to purchase. Can I use hood ram air and existing cold air box or will this interfere with each other ? I AM VERY MECHANICLLY IGNORANT BUT EAGER TO LEARN, APPREACITIVE OF YOUR HELP,AND LOVE THE BOARD. THANKS A MILLION.

If the stock hood has no clearance issues with the current intake you have on now, the ram air hood should fit just fine. The hood doesnt really give much of a "ram air" boost unless you were going say...100 mph, and at best you are gaining maybe 1 or 2 hp. Now if you had a sealed ram air intake it would be different story, although still not such a large amount of hp that people even worry about it. Do a search for ram air hood and you'll probably get around 1000 posts on this very subject.
