Default New LS motor owner question.

I just bought a 99 6.0 2500 Silverado and I LOVE IT!!

It came with some goodies installed on it and I was wondering what a Guestimate on the HP/TQ would be?

It has full KN cold air

Hooker Pro-comp headers (shortie? not full length)

Magnaflow catback 3 or 3.5 inch exhaust

And a Comp cam level one RV/truck camshaft.

And a Comp cam hand held ODBII tuner.

It has a great flat TQ curve while driving till about 4000 rpm then pulls HARD from 4000-5500 befor shifting.

I rode in an all stock 02' 6.0 truck and it didn't pull like this!!

Any guess?? I think at least 325hp at the crank

with all of that in a 6.0 i'd expect to see more like 350-360 flywheel hp and around 400tq +/-10. the cam is for lower rpm's, thats why your torque curve is awesome under 4k. the truck comes with 300 crank hp out of the box. my friends dad has an 02 2500 with the 6.0 and it's pretty quick for a big *** truck lol. hope this helps.

Check out performancetrucks.net, its LS1Tech.com's sister site devoted to trucks. Your user name and password should already work over there. Heres the link:

Oh...I see how it works.....since I drive an overweight truck, I get no love.

Well I looked at that other site, and it looks pretty slow. So I guess I will stick around here with my Overweight truck.

I'm sorry if you took it that way, I just ment that for truck specific information you should go to Performancetrucks.net, any LSx questions we'll be more than happy to help you with.

I think the 6.0 liters are 345 hp stock. My 05 with the 5.3 liter is rated at 295 hp at the crank (according to gm). I'll take a guess that you are around 375 to the crank with your mods.
