Question im a newb in need of help

Hey guys, i need some serious help. i just bought a 99 z28 with an automatic trans. i have flowmaster exhaust installed and that is all that is done. i dont want to lose to much gas milage but i dont want to be so slow. i was thinking about buying a whisper lid and the free ram air. what next? also im going to be doing a tune up what plugs and wires do u reccomend. i have 83000 miles on the car should i redo the coil pack? if you could give me any recomendations i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks alot guys.

A lid and a more free flowing exhaust will not drop your gas mileage. But increase it slightly so I wouldn't worry about the gas mileage factor.

long tube headers will help you uot with a good flowing exhaust, and a CAI kit like the SSRA will feed the motor easier

what would you recommend if i did get rid of the flowmasters? im looking at a flowtech cut off right now. i found some long tube hooker headers for 299.99 is this about the basic price?.....also with the free ram air set up, what are the chances of water getting into the motor?

If your going with a cutout, then you could keep the flowmaster (I do admit they sound good) and you can get your free flowing exhaust from the cutout when you need it. If not, Corsa, Hooker, and GMMG are some good flowing catbacks to consider. LS1sounds.com is a good place to sample various audio clips to find the right exhaust to fit your needs.

The flowmaster is the last the bottom of the barrel. L.Mouth, Borla, Corso, to name a few. I would do, SlP Lid, LT headers, cutoff, catback, or a bullet if you don't mind the noise. Gears, PI or Yank Converter, and a tune of course. Good Luck and be safe.
