510hp from GMPP?
I read in the Sept. 2004 , Chevy High Performance magazine that with a LS1 Hotcam, LS6 intake, and a set of GMPP CNC ported LS6 heads, a LS1 would put out 510 ponies. Can anyone verify this. The cam just sounds too small to me but, mabe not. The article is called Crate Expectations.

I'm pretty sure I saw a recent CHP that dyno'd an LS2 crate motor w/1 7/8" longtubes and electric wp and got ~440 crank hp.......anyone else see that?
I don't think ~500 flywheel hp is too far off for a hotcam/ls6 heads motor w/ls6 intake and every single bolton. Several cam-only/all bolt-on hotcam cars have put out 385-390rwhp through an M6. Given a 17% drivetrain loss you'd only need about 425rwhp to acheive 500fwhp. I'd think a nice set of ls6 heads are easily worth 30-35rwhp.
