shifter doin the bobb and shake ???? ok ... so here lately i have noticed my shifter bobbing up and down ( m6 ) and my car is harder to get out of first gear... makes me feel like a first time driver the way the car studders off the line.
So i was thinking, maybe its the tranny mount, so i replaced the tranny mount with a prothane one..... the car started to shake really bad and my reverse was kicked over to the side to where i had to force it in while it rubbed the consul
so do you that they gave me the wrong part , even though it seems to look the same.

The shifters move consideribly in these cars. If it moves uncontrollably check the trans mounts. There are new poly ones available from sponsors that will stiffen up the the trans. Also, if you have an aftermarket "short" thow shifter, many do hit the console. Try using a stock shifter to see if that is the problem as well.
