Default Stock WS6, need to know what to do first

I was thinking a sub-frame connector first, then lid and exhaust kits before engine work. Any advice? Also, how much does it cost to convert an automatic to a manual

SFCs are a good first mod. Performance wise go with a lid and exhaust first. If you want a m6 sell the auto before you start modding and get the 6 speed.

I can't find one with the same amount of miles and in pristine condition. It only has about 5,000 miles and it is garaged and covered, it is mint

Converting transmission is difficult and/or expensive.

Is it that important to you?

The driving experience may not be the same, but do you realize autos rule the drag strip?

Read the stickies.

Subframes, lid, exhaust are a great place to start. Ever consider keeping the auto and getting a new torque converte?

Hell yeah man, autos run the show at the drags... not by a small amount either

intake, full exhaust(headers), cam, torque converter, shift kit and you will walk all over m6's

If autos run the drag world then why is it that the two top cam only cars are m6?

Most of the time the auto will win though.

forget about doing the conversion. its too much of a hassle. just enjoy the car you have and buy a high stall torque converter. you will be faster than any stock m6 car and you also wont miss a shift on the way to the finish.

Maybe the auto guys didn't do cam only.

Everything comes down to getting the right combo, M6 or A4.

With that said, if you have the exact same mods on both with a converter on the auto, the auto will be way more consistent and usually win. Also, an auto with a converter can be fun to drive. Not in the same way a manual is, but still fun.

Hasn't always been that way, and there are a lot of variables beyond that.

Did you notice that 11 out of the top 15 are autos?

Or the fact that the top four are seperated by, what, less than 0.01?
