Default SS hood/spoiler?

Can I bolt an SS hood/spoiler onto a Z28 without modifying the car (Drilling holes, etc.?)

Will the hood be functional (if it is a functional hood, will it push air into the factory Z28 air box or must I modify the Z?

the hood will bolt on. For the air box your going to need the SS lower airbox.

its a waste. It just makes your air filter really really dirty faster...not to mention the bugs that get stuck in it. there won't be improvement though...you need to be driving almost a mile or so for your iat to go down a lil bit.

Ah...I kinda just want the spoiler, will it bolt on? What about the 2 supports in its middle?? Do they just rest on the trunk lid or something (the Z28 doesnt have these)?

I really like the SS spoiler vs. teh Z28 one.

the two supports in the middle are just stuck on with two sided tape, yes it will just bolt on where the Z28 spoiler did.

I thought the SS spoiler just bolted on right where the holes for the original Z28 spoiler are. As for the hood, it just bolts right up

It will take you 10 mins to swap spoilers, I think theres like 3 bolts in the trunk lid. The Z28 spoiler is ugly as sin compared to the SS.

well, I have just decided to buy an SS this summer vs. the Z28. It will be a more exclusive car and "real". I know its not a performance gain, but its a pride of ownership thing to me. I will probably settle for an 00 instead of an 02 car because of that choice, but if its under 65K miles and in good shape, that works for me. I am looking to spend 13K + TTL and im sure I can find one, there are about half a dozen on autotrader 14K asking...12,500 cash would turn at LEAST half of those I bet.
