Default car wont start, probably something security

I was on a hill facing up with my friends car next to me. We were just talking and waiting, since my car is decently loud I decided to turn it off while we waited. We sat for about 5 minutes (pulled up e-brake and completely removed keys) The people we were waiting on came outside and I pushed in the clutch and turned the key, nothing happened. It doesnt click or anything. It acts like my mustang did when the car alarm was armed and you tried to start the car. I got out, pressed lock, unlock, got in.. still same thing. I rolled it down the hill in reverse and parked, turned on the alarm, waited about 5 minutes and went to try it again. Same thing. I parked it and left it over night and I won't be able to get back to it for another 3 hours or so.. any ideas?

check all plugs and plug wires, and the coils, also check connection at the alternator, and check connections on the starter could just be a loose wire, and clean battery terminals.. thats all i can think of right now man i hope this helps...
