Default Pre-welcome me!

I am buying a 2000 WS6 6 Speed next weekend!! :-)

I am gonna buy Pacesetter Headers and ORY... not sure of the catback. I just know I want the Loudmouth tips. Any opinions the Loudmouth on the LS1? My LT1 had same setup but with Loudmouth II. I loved it

I am considering TSP Rumbler or whatever its called. I want a great sound but the GMMG is just too expensive. I want a quiet, refined tone... since my LT1 is absolutely obnoxious. haha

Any mods worth doing after it? Tires obviously... new filter for Ram Air? Just looking to run 12.5s or a 112 trap on my daily driver without touching nitrous, FI, cam, etc... Just boltons really.

I mean... What are some realistic traps on a bolton LS1?

I guess cam work would be down the road. Because when my LT1 returns it will be more then enough ya know... I just like driving a car that isn't slow. Stock LS1s move, I know that... but I wouldn't want to lose to a stock Turbo SRT4 or a bone stock 03-04 Cobra.

well your not going to lose to a stock srt4 right now but as far as the 03 cobra goes your gonna need to gain some major hp we are talking full bolt ons and a good size cam

It's a 6 speed... stock turboed SRT4s run in the 108-110 area when done right.

Stock 03/04 Cobras will be an issue unless you have at least a few bolt-ons (lid, cutout, tune), but your going to find about as many stock cobra's as you see Saleens.

You can do LT's and ORY like you planned, and I would do a lid, a cutout, and if you could spend the money a tune would help a lot. And you know you could always do a small cam, such as an LS6 cam. It'll get you 20 to 30 at the wheels...and it's not very expensive.

If I go cam... i'm going all out. I don't plan games like that. If I end up throwing a cam in there I am definitely going with something that would yield me 410whp. haha :-)

But I want to stay away from all that because the LT1 is going to be twin turboed (Twin 67, 70, or 72s). So I will always have the toy ya know. Boltons are the most harmless mods you can do to a car without putting any of the craftsmanship into any potential garbage. Not saying the cam would break the car... but maybe during the install if something went wrong ya know?

So a bolton LS1 and a Twin Turbo LT1 will suffice for me. :-)

What are some averge trap speeds and 1/4 times for bolt on LS1s?

BTW... I am gonna get it tuned. I forgot to add that

Hey I can understand. A bolt-on LS1 will be pretty quick. A guy I know here in OK has one of the fastest bolt-ons in the nation. He's running an 11.549. I wouldn't expect to be able to run that cuz his car is a beast, but you could definately break into 11's with enough work and if you drive it well. And tuning will be very good for it.

I am more interested in trap speed from a Bolt on LS1. Since if I do race it'll be from a roll.
